5/11/2017 Data Migration to LabVantage 8 at a Clinical Research Biobank
A Clinical Research Biobank reached out to CSols for help to migrate their data from caTissue, MS Sharepoint, paper, and MS Excel to LabVantage 8. Their current process was very inefficient, allowing only one study to be migrated at a time which took months to complete. Their resources were overworked and less productive and the slow data migration process was severely adversely affecting the adoption of their new Enterprise LabVantage LIMS.
CSols was brought in to develop a streamline, standardized migration process by creating templates for data retrieval, extraction, and transformation, as well as creating a new, standardized, multi-use LabVantage import function. This work made the migrations quicker and repeatable. Migrating all the biobank data into LabVantage 8 has reduced IT support costs (only one system is now used), while increasing the accuracy and completeness of their biobank samples and information.
