A major global Chemical company was experiencing unacceptable sample turnaround times and backlogs as well as data quality issues at a lab supporting one of their R&D pilot plants. It was discovered that the laboratory’s operations were rife with inefficient processes including: manual sample creation, manual data entry into multiple systems, manual calculations, and manual generation of reports. Additionally, the main data historian (OSIsoft PI) in which the lab’s data was stored was slated for retirement. A new, more efficient laboratory and data management solution had to be implemented for the lab.
The company decided to implement the Thermo Scientific SampleManager LIMS™ since it already had been successfully running this solution in a number of its labs globally. CSols, Inc. was selected to lead the implementation of SampleManager based on their domain knowledge and SampleManager expertise. Additionally, CSols had a history of strong performance and delivering high value as they had recently successfully implemented SampleManager v10.0 for a large, newly acquired, petrochemical facility for the company in the Middle East.
