A top biotechnology and clinical diagnostics company had enjoyed exponential growth due to the success of its diagnostics tests that provide actionable genomic information to personalize cancer treatment decisions. The diagnostic analysis is carried out in the company’s clinical service labs. However, as a consequence of this success, the company was experiencing unacceptably long sample and results turnaround times. Additionally, the information derived from the tests was not being delivered in a timely fashion to the physicians and institutions that were relying on this information to determine patient treatment plans.
In order to increase the productivity of the clinical labs, the company elected to automate and implement their top 3 testing workflows in their STARLIMS system. The company also decided to integrate STARLIMS with their customer relationship management system, Salesforce, in order to facilitate and speed up sample submissions, testing requests, and results reporting for their clientele. CSols was engaged by the client to provide STARLIMS implementation integration, and testing based on our STARLIMS, informatics integration, and regulatory expertise.
