Job Description

In this role, you will report to a Delivery Directory/Manager.

  • Responsibilities and Duties will include:
  • Provide problem-solving support to the project team
  • Requirements elicitation and Gap Analysis using tools such as documentation analysis, shadowing (observation), interviews, and workshops
  • Requirements documentation, management, and communication creating artifacts such as Modeling, Process Workflows, Narratives, Epics / User Stories, URS/FRS, and Use Cases
  • Business Analysis planning and reporting
  • Stakeholder engagement and management
  • Work effectively on teams of contractors and employees across the world,d including site-level end users, management, and IT, as well as corporate lab informatics developers and project leaders.
  • Familiarity with BI tools a plus, e.g., Crystal Reports, PowerBI
  • Train users as needed

Desired Qualifications

We are currently looking to add a Laboratory Informatics Business Analyst to our staff.  In this role, you must be: conversant with the techniques and practices of business analysis, laboratory terminology and processes, sample lifecycle, and instrumentation. 

This role will include gathering requirements from laboratory and business staff at client sites.  Translating the requirements into LIMS/ELN/Other Lab Informatics system configurations.  The scope of project work may also include integrations to other client information systems and laboratory equipment, user training, and problem-solving and support.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented team player with excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and the ability to meet deadlines in a timely fashion. Also, they must have the ability to work remotely and independently with little to no supervision. They must be a motivated self-starter and possess the following abilities, experience, and knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science related discipline preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with a laboratory informatics system as a Business Analyst
  • Experience within a regulated life sciences environment a plus
  • 2+ years of experience in laboratory informatics or laboratory automation work in a support/IT administrator role are a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be a self-starter but work well with others due to the interdependence of customer teams
  • .Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Visio or other diagramming tools a plus
  • Familiarity with LabWare LIMS, LabWare Pharma Template, SampleManager LIMS, STARLIMS, and LabVantage LIMS a plus
  • Familiarity with systems used for Lot Management, Batch Record Management, Stability, Environmental Monitoring, ELN, and CDS (e.g., Empower CDS) are a plus
