Job Description

In the Human Resources role, you will report to the company Controller. Responsibilities and Duties will include:

  • Serve as primary HR point of contact for both remote and local employees
  • Serve as the main point of contact with benefits providers
  • Maintain HR records in compliance with employment laws
  • Maintain employee records in payroll and benefits systems
  • On-boarding and off-boarding employees
  • Benefits orientation for new employees
  • Drive annual benefits renewal process
  • Maintain company training records
  • Track annual performance review process
  • Coordinate employee background checks when required
  • Manage annual third-party company survey
  • Recognize employee anniversaries
  • Manage company events and community outreach activities

Desired Qualifications

Our company is growing, and we seek a candidate with skills that can expand with us. Below are the qualifications best suited for the Human Resources position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related field
  • A self-starter with the confidence and creativity to grow the HR function
  • Ability to work independently and function as part of a team
  • Ability to energize others and build teamwork
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Able to research employment laws in multiple US states as well as Canada
  • Strong phone presence
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and web presentation tools
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Innate desire to succeed and advance within our growing organization
