Job Description

CSols is looking to hire a full-time laboratory informatics consultant with a strong Java Developer skillset. In this remote position, the candidate will work alongside LIMS partners and clients to implement the LabVantage system. Clients will be in a range of industries, including those governed by regulatory requirements.

Desired Qualifications

The Laboratory Informatics Consultant has experience in programming using JDK. The desired candidate will demonstrate the integration of technical skills and experience with the creation of applications to meet clients’ needs in a manufacturing or research and development environment.

The successful candidate will be fluent and demonstrate verbal and written communication in English. Your detailed systems and process knowledge apply to laboratory informatics functions, and system integration includes ERP, ELN, CDS, and SDMS.

This position of a Consulting Developer must be a detailed-oriented team player with excellent communication skills, as well as, have the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

This position requires independent remote work with limited oversight, so the desired candidate must be a motivated self-starter and possess the following technical abilities, experience, and applied knowledge:

  • A minimum of 3 years of industry expertise as:
    • A technical consultant
    • A hands-on developer experienced in JDK, relational databases, infrastructure, and interfacing
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with:
    • Regulated industries as it relates to processes managed by laboratory informatics systems and technologies
  • Demonstrate refined skills to adapt to changing client needs and priorities
  • Business analysis skills that incorporate an ability to map and translate lab processes to LIMS functions, including configuration and programming

  • Oracle or SQL databases
  • SQL
  • Java (J2EE)

  • JSP
  • HTML
  • DHTML/Web Page Development
  • Server-side Scripting Languages
  • Ajax, Groovy
  • J-Query
  • SOAP and RESTful Web Services
  • Knowledge of LabVantage LIMS is a plus

Desired Education and Training:

  • Information Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Genetics, or similar science degree
