CSols Celebrates its 20th Anniversary

Celebrate, good times, come on… It’s a celebration!

Those famous lyrics from the iconic 1980s hit by Kool and the Gang summarize how I feel right now! This month, CSols Inc. is celebrating 20 years of serving our employees, partners, and most importantly, you, our customers! I am humbled and thankful to be leading this organization after 20 years and did not really imagine/foresee how things would be when I accepted the challenge of leading a new company in July of 2001.

Of course, it was a very different time then. A time of optimism and anticipation, not only in the United States but across the world. Having weathered the Y2K scare, the field of laboratory informatics was poised for growth. No one foresaw that just a couple of months later the 9/11 terrorist attacks would plunge the world into war and change everything. Later on, the financial crisis of 2008 and the global COVID-19 pandemic fundamentally changed the world. In addition, think about all the technological and political upheavals that have occurred over the last 20 years. Many companies have not survived one or more of these devastating events, resulting in job losses, fire-sale acquisitions, or re-trenching.  Many of our competitors from the early days of CSols have succumbed to one or more of these.

Through it all, CSols has persevered, and in fact, we have thrived! Some of our success is surely down to good fortune and unmerited favor, and I am grateful for that. However, much of it can be attributed to our relentless focus on the foundations of our success:

• Customer Satisfaction—help the customer get things done faster and with better results

Because of this constancy of purpose over the last 20 years, we have been able to serve hundreds of clients over the years and achieve more than 97.5% customer satisfaction ratings, while being recognized as a Top Workplace by our employees for the last 8 years in a row!

I am excited about the prospects for the next 20 years, and look forward to celebrating with you!
