CSols Inc. had been invited two short courses at Pittcon 2022 but the event was postponed until 2023 due to COVID-19. We enjoyed meeting all of you in Philadelphia at the in person 2023 event.
This year we hosted the following:
Manufacturers use lean techniques to improve quality, productivity, and cycle time. QC labs can apply the same methods to realize similar benefits, especially if lab informatics tools like LIMS or ELN are used. Leaning a lab in concert with such systems improves performance, minimizes paper, facilitates compliance, and reduces operating costs with less expense than purchasing new tools.
This course explains proven lean lab principles and covers how to identify, prioritize, and realize lean opportunities. The course covers practices and methodologies for planning as well as managing and executing a lean project using lab informatics tools.
If you’re about to embark on an implementation of a lab informatics system, this is an overview class to prepare you for what’s to come and how to successfully plan for it. This course will walk you through the natural progression your lab will take. The first step is to identify which solution you need, justify it to your business, and then plan for the informatics selection. Selecting the right lab automation tool leads to the best return on your investment. The next step is to implement the selected tool. In this step, you’ll learn how to choose the right resources, make a project plan, and use effective change management. Upon deployment, if you have followed the recommended best practices, you will achieve successful adoption.
